Maintenance a must

Winter Cold Front ...BURR
Hello from Mangrove Marina.
We are cold here today in the Fl. Keys, very windy last night . The water was blowing against the hull singing the song of winter.
Today Ted is working in starboard engine room. The injector was not right we were leaking fuel.
Maintence is a must on a sailboat or you may receive many suprises you do not care to receive.
We have been doing repairs since we received Gabriella due to lack of maintence. The list is seemingly endless. Welcome to the crusing life! How to get off the dock? No wonder people quit before they even start.
The injector was impossible to remove without taking out the engine. It was stuck like a serious weld. Having to take the engine out was the best solution. Ted and Shaun went to work. Now out the rust was exposed on the engine block, due to a small leak threw the hatch .Drip drip drip for too long.
Ted replaced the bad seal and is now redoing the engine to stop the rust from any futher damage.
We thank God for Gabriella she is a fine catamaran. Hopefully we will have found most of the hidden secrets so by June we may set sail in ship shape.
Proper Maintenance saves on Repairs!
