Adonai : Troop 28 Birmingham Alabama
06 June 2014 | Sea Of Abaco Bahamas
Sailing the Sea of Abaco with troop 28 from Birmingham Alabama was an action packed week . The troop took to the water like fish and Adonai with great enthusiasm . Winds were up this week providing a fun ride through the waves of the sea. Fishing is always of interest with a record 15 pound mutton snapper reeled in off of Treasure Cay by a happy scout making for a great dinner aboard Adonai. As soon as the anchor hits the sand our star snorkeler is diving in with gear intact to see the next reef full of wonder. Town exploration leads to good food , key lime pie , Hobie cat sailing, climbing the light house in Hope Town and gift shopping for family members back at home. This week our favorite beach was Treasure Cay and favorite town was Hope town. Creative writing fills the pages of our log book leaving good memories behind. Ted and I thank our wonderful group of 19 from Alabama who traveled many miles to the the Bahamas to sail aboard Adonai in the Sea of Abaco. We have hopes of more adventure in the future and are praying for your safe return home to your loved ones.
