Adonai , Guana and Scouts Greensboro N.C. and more!
27 June 2015
Meeting for the first time, 20 scouts from 6 different troops arrived on the decks of Adonai with an outcome of excellence. This has been a week of great people , weather and adventure. Fish reeled in off the back decks and conch brought up from the sea below. Stars at night with rain chasing scout for cover. Evening time is spent in reflections on the forwards trampoline after culinary experiences and clean up. A scout technique for reflecting is called roses, thorns and buds. It is a way to share your experience in a positive light by saying what you loved, what you did not like, and what you are looking forwards to. This sets the tone for dreams of time yet to come and the days enjoyed.
This week a bravo goes out to our first scout independently cleaning a conch and doing an excellent job. This is not an easy task. Then the scouts hammer the conch preparing it for cooking. It becomes most delicious and enjoyed by all.
All the scouts were welcomed into the Captain’s Club for excellence in participation. You know this is great for a young man who will smile while catching fish, raising sails, swimming reefs, seeing sharks and dolphins, jumping off of high rocks but smiling while washing dishes and cleaning the head with no shower for days is a superior young man!
