Adonai loving the Sea of Abaco with Gainesville VA. Troop 581
08 August 2015
As our chief this week said everything has it's ups and downs, the electricity and the wind diverted our plans but when in the Sea of Abaco its no worries because it is one beautiful view after the next. White sand, palm trees and turquoise clear waters what can be better? The sea turtles pop up their precious heads with richness in their eyes and the rays bury themselves in the sand below the sea.
Certain memories stick with you as this week while anchored off of Tillo Cay and cleaning conch a beautiful rainbow stretched out above us for 30 minutes plus! From one end to the other a full spectrum of color lit the sky above the clouds. We had been surrounded by rain coming into anchor but not one drop fell on our decks. The air turned cold like an ac unit and it was just a wonderful relief from the summers heat.
Gainesville Va.Troop 581 Scouts. Venture Scouts and adult leaders numbered 19 . I just love it when one of them is a brave mom and joins the team and so it was this week! Each scout comes with a special gift within themselves and through out the week the scouts bond deeper and form a stronger team from their experience on the sea as the sea is a great teacher.
The night sky was clear this week with the milky way bringing forth the majesty of God. As you listen to the sound of water on the hulls it sings a song into the night. Watching closely the Bahama beaches show the glory of God, while his creation below the sea is full of gifts to treasure. Our week has closed and I pray something new sprouts in your hearts scouts, as this time is only for a moment. As the days pour forth you will see it is only love that remains.
