A beautiful place to spend our second night out. We were pretty beat up and tired form a windy bumpy night out at sea. Vivorillo Cayes is a daytime anchorage for shrimp boats. We purchased some shrimp from Morning Star. For $9.00 we ordered 2 pounds of shrimp and received six. We slept like dead logs after dinner, due to the passing of rough seas and full bellies.

The captain of Morning Star spoke about the island Bobel 60 miles south.Sounds great so we headed out. Winds had changed direction and were still high blowing 25. A side swell, nice for my wind-surfer but tiring on Gabriella. Today is my birthday and we will celebrate by stopping at Bobel for the night. Arriving at 1:30 p.m. it was just too rough to stay we continued on, saving the steaks and apple pie for a calmer evening. This is my 50th year on the planet a miracle. The sun has set in the most beautiful colors a watercolor by the Master God oh so perfect.

Sailing through last night,Ted had excitement on his watch! A lobsterman off the coast of Nicaragua decided to play chicken on the high seas. That will keep you awake. He was able to out run him and was the talk of the day...Eventually the seas calmed down with the fading wind. Blessed by the prayed for west wind as we left Honduras and passed Nicaragua, now blessed that the wind has subsided as it is on our nose off the coast of Costa Rica and into Panama .No fish for sushi today and 147 miles to go.

Last night another beautiful sunset, fabulous blues, yellows red and pinks turning into a night of bright stars three falling in front of my eyes. It is flat calm tonight and I embrace it for for its peace. The night was unusual as far as no ships were sited. Fresh espresso fills the air brewed by Shane this morning as he tells his funny nights adventure. He woke up to a flying fish in his bunk all snuggled up against his side as Trevor had found one on deck.
Morning action as we troll five lines in the water the site of a log is ahead. This is quite the attraction possibe fish. Dreams of sushi are still in our heads. The fight of the catch lays ahead! At 1p.m. on day five Panama is in site. Our destination is Bocas del Toro.
The most exciting part of the journey is about to happen 25 miles north of Bocas del Toro. One bonita has been our catch, and one huge hit stealing a lure. Ted is reeling in a seaweed covered lure just as he gets it to the boat under the stowed dingy a marlin of 100 pounds comes to the surface! What a thrill I have never seen such happy men especially my husband. We had the attention of three marlin total and were so fulfilled to be blessed by this siting. The wonders of God in the ocean. We arrived the dock at Bocas Yacht Club at 6 p.m. The sun has set and rose again it is November 3 2007.
