Super Scouts onboard ! Troop 746 Fullerton Md.
05 August 2016 | sea of Abaco
Adonai welcomes Troop 746 form Fullerton Md. First catch of the week is Mr. Barracuda giving a good fight under windy skies, sails are up cruising at 7 knots. This fine group of young men are learning to raise and tack the sails today as we head to Craig Cay for an afternoon of coconut and crab hunting onshore. It has been a peaceful beautiful sail to our anchorage tonight.
Another great day head and no rain last night !
New fun onboard this week is the opening of lobster season here in the Bahamas. A first time for our troop with success. The wind has been in our sails as the weather is being very kind to us for August. Praying for no hurricanes just a continued nice breeze without electricity as the storms here on the The Sea of Abaco can become very intense!
A great catch this morning, two bonefish on in Treasure Cay Harbor quite the surprise. The wind has let up and summer heat is on , sweltering with sweat pouring off every pore todays adventure ahead.
The wind has blessed us again with a return and the most fabulous night out at Water Cay with the milky way spread across the sky. Our fire on the beach looks like a lantern to any who may be lost in the night after roasting hotdogs our chili cheese dogs a scout special.
Last stop Foul Rocks, showing off today a giant spotted eagle ray and two turtles among the beautiful coral creations. Before we head in a run to Man O War for gift shopping will make our day complete.
Adonai is now resting on the dock in Marsh Harbor all cleaned up from the most fabulous trip with our "SUPER SCOUTS" this week. Tonight we will feast at Jakes Resturant to soak up the ac and tell tall tales of the sea and how about you?
