Island Country of Niue

I am so happy to have arrived Niue. We arrived yesterday shortly behind sailing vessel Olina. I thought I had a rough trip. Olina had departed Rarotonga 5 days ahead of Gabriella and arrived 2 hours earlier. We all sat around the yacht club comparing notes. Martine and I did some well needed female bonding as she is also sailing with two men Nicholas and Karl. I was not the only woman to come unglued on this crossing. The real challenge was coming ashore in the high seas. Niue has no protected landing and you must have your dingy hoisted out on to the cement pier. Trying to scale up the tires chained to the cement sea wall of the peir which was starring me in the face and moving up and down from the sea surging I felt uncertain due to being beaten to death for the past five days by this same sea. I gladly reached for the extented hand of a young male dock worker. I crawled up black from the tires smiling suprised I made it and watched the none moving concrete peir swirl underneath my feet. It had been more of a crossing than I imagined.
