08/6/12 Vuda Point Marina
It has been two nights in the marina and I am so ready to go. Funny originally I wanted to spend much time in marinas and less on the hook. I am so opposite of what I imagined. Soon we will head out and do some exploring of the islands. Until then I tell myself be anxious for nothing.
Two more days have passed and I am still waiting . We were going to leave this morning but the weather forecast is one of rain and wind.Fiji is having an unusual weather pattern this year according to locals.
Pastor Joe from Nadi found us today at the marina. Our communications have not been clear lately. Gabriella had been caring medical supplies for a mission doctor on an outer island along with bibles. Pastor Joe will be able to pass them.
A funny thing happened, yesterday, birds were in the cockpit feasting on the bananas in the hanging fruit hammock. Today the birds were in the main salon continuing their banana feasting! I caught them red handed.
Ted and Trevor have gone into town to watch a ruby game rain and all. I have decided to stay here and go next door to the resort and have a facial.
The birds are back, They have a crest like a cardinal but their body is black with a red spot just on end of the lower body before the tail. Mischievous they are and quite comfortable among the boats.
