Yes 2010 has finally come. We have been saying we are leaving in 2010 for so many years and here it is! We really are starting to feel the excitement. Sometimes we go to bed and can hardly sleep for thinking about all that awaits us. It's like Christmas Eve when you were a child, dreaming about what tomorrow will bring.
Our to do list has not gotten any shorter despite Ian plugging away at it. For every item we cross off, we add one or two more. Nor has our "wish list" gotten any shorter. But we are leaving this year. Even if we don't have 'everything' we think we need. We are both so ready to go NOW!
I am taking care of sprucing up our condo so that we can sell it in the summer. We are looking for the perfect guardian for our beloved cat Farley. I haven't put too much effort into that as I really don't want to have to give her up till the very last minute. Oh how I wish she had adapted to the boat but that is not going to happen and I can't force her to come on this voyage as I think the stress to both her and me would be just too much.
So we will continue our determined path towards our goal. It's what keeps us getting up every day and going to the office...
