In Corfu

Fiona Pound Very hot and sunny
We have now arrived in Corfu. What a lovely place after the baroness of Southern Italy it was like arriving in Gibraltar again. We are in Gouvia marina near Corfu town which is large has many liveaboards and some how traps many people to staying for longer than intended. It has a large swimming pool which the kids love and very useful for cooling off. The temperature has suddenly rocketed to 35c and reportedly 40c in Corfu town. it was very hot in there today.
We are looking forward to cruising around the islands and exploring.
Currently we are waiting the arrival of our American/Canadian friends who are in the south of France, (see log Gone Native.) They have had engine trouble which is now sorted and shortly they hope to depart. We are hoping to see them in Kefalonia in approx. 4 weeks!
From there we are going to sail through the Corinithan Canal and on to Turkey to winter the boat in Marmaris and return to UK for work, and school.
It is great to be here we are all enjoying ourselves, if not a little hot. Morgan our son (7yrs) has fallen asleep in the cockpit.
