COMIN' HOME!!!
10 January 2011
1:15 pm local time, Tuesday, January 11:
It really looks like we are coming home this time. We delivered the crew/guests to Triabunna only minutes ago and now we are under sail, doing 7.0 knots on a SE course, wind east 12 - 15, reefed main, full genoa, heading into Mercury Passage, west of Maria Island, and from there to the Hippolyte Rocks, Tasman Peninsula, Tasman Island, Cape Raoul, and Storm Bay - thence Hobart.
Timing predicted is: Tasman Is 9 pm, Iron Pot 3 am, anchor for a few hours sleep at Killora Bay, north Bruny Island, and head up the Derwent about 10 am tomorrow Wednesday. We hope to get ourselves a space in Constitution dock, docking there around midday. After tomorrow morning the wind strengthens, building to a 40 knot gale Thursday.
Michelle from the Mercury rang and wants to do a story - I don't know when she wants to talk to us. Hobart Odd Couple Exit Hobart July 2008 - Return January 2011 On 49 Foot yacht.
Time for a hot bath and a sleep!
