The blog will go on - there'll be more adventures, and besides, I like writing it!

What a wonderful homecoming it was! Craig, Dennis and Ward were three fine men right there on the dock, ready to take the lines, as I brought the Bluebottle alongside. Hugs, smiles and congrats, and photos - much expression of happiness, and relief - for some of our friends and family had held fears for our safety. Don't blame them; it's sometimes harder for those waiting at home while their loved ones are out on the wild, deep ocean!

Adrienne and I went to dinner at the home of my wonderful son Dominic, his beautiful Danish partner Gitte, and their two gorgeous children Nita and baby Jett. We also had a hot bath - what luxury! Adrienne saw all four of her children.

So many friends came down to the boat, too many to mention! Some brought champagne.

Slept well, but still tired.
