Help! Doesn't anyone speak English?
05 November 2013 | Rome, Italy
while sailing abroad, we sailors occasionally have difficulty communicating (whether it's buying supplies, booking a slip, getting assistance, etc.) due to the language barrier. A sailing club in Rome, Italy, has asked me to help a group of Italian sailors, crew members and shipchandlers learn the English that can bridge the gap. Due to limited time it would be appropriate to concentrate on the most urgent issues.
In case anyone can suggest anecdotes, topics and issues they would suggest I integrate in this English course, your help would be appreciated.
Likewise, in case anyone sailing in Italian and French-speaking waters, needs assistance "getting across", here is my website: www. yachtinghorizons.com . Thanks!
