A boat is called "she" because there is always a great deal of bustle around her; there is normally a gang of men around, she has a waist and stays; it takes alot of paint to keep her good looking; it's not the initail expense that breaks you, it's the upkeeping; she can be all decked out but it takes an experienced seaman to handle her correctly; and without a man at the helm, she is a absolutely uncontrollable. She shows her topsides, hides her bottom and when comming into port always heads for bouys.....
