Restless Goes Sailing

To Cape Verde day 5 and morning update from Friday day 6

We motored all of Thursday morning in sunshine until 14.30 when sailing resumed. We hoisted the cruising chute and had some great sailing. Rather than one of us being on watch we both stayed in the cockpit during early evening, and sailed into the sunset with our big cruising chute flying. It was amazing, like a movie, but with actors who are dishevelled and in need of a wash. (Cockpit showers have been taken....too much info, I know). By 21.05 the wind had gone again and we were motoring again. At 01.20 this morning (Friday, day 6), we were changing watches and realised there was a breeze, so engine off and sails up. Main sail with one reef and 110% Genoa. Since then, we are flying. 6-7 knots in a decent breeze, it would be great if that continued. Currently 294 miles to go.
