So we made it . A great day sailing and terrible night with thunder and rain .Daniela always got the worst 3 hours . We lost our LED Navigation light on the Mast top when lightning hit the sea next to us. Great �... I can go up the mast to change the light!! The anchor bay is calm , only 2 other yachts . No way to leave you're dinghy. We haven't figured it out yet. A French guy got a bid upset with this situation. More on that later .The Canal people do nothing for sailors. We are just a nuisance for them .Compared to what a container ship pays, my 984$ is peanuts . They could easily charge us 20 000 $ , we would have to pay , since there is no alternative but Cape Horn. Running around offices , filling out papers and make payments �...cash only !! Organizing extra lines and 4 human line handlers..it will take time or money. A lot of yachts just sit in a posh marina and let the canal agents take care of it all. I will try :do it yourself . It seems that yachts leave Colon at 4 pm ,move up the 3 locks and spend the night in Gatun lake. There you can swim with the crocks in this freshwater lake and then move down the 3 locks to the Pacific the next morning On the way up you are behind a cargo ship and on the way down in front of a big ship. When I did it last time, they rafted 3 yachts together . But today ,not many yachts here.

Wir haben es geschafft. Nach einem schönen Segel tag war dann die Nacht miserabel und zwar immer während Danielas 3 Stunden. Ein Blitz der neben der Yelo ins Meer krachte, hat das LED Navigations licht ,oben am Mast ins Jenseits befördert .Ich darf also wieder am Mast empor judihui. Die Anker bucht ist ruhig ,nur 2 Yachten hier .Ein Franzose wurde sauer weil man hier keinen Steg fürs Gummi boot hat .Für die Kanal Leute sind wir ein Ärgernis. Im Vergleich zu einem Kontainerschiff sind meine 984 Dollar �...peanuts .Die könnten uns auch 10 oder 20 tausend verlangen ,denn ausser Kap Horn gibt es keine Alternative . 1 bis 2 Tage Papierkram .Man muss extra lange Leinen mieten und auch 4 Leute die jede Leine bedienen. Es braucht Zeit oder Geld .Viele Yachten sitzen im Yachtclub an der Bar und lassen die Agenten für sich arbeiten. Wir probieren es selber. Google mal : Miarflores , Web cam da kann man uns sehen wenn der Tag kommt. Genaueres dann auf diesem Blog. Dieses Jahr geht man um 16h los und steigt 3 Schleusen hoch ,man überquert den Süsswasser see Lake Gatun .Dort kann man schwimmen , evtl mit den Krokodilen und muss dort übernachten . Am nächsten Morgen geht es 3 Schleusen runter in den Pazifik . Dort ist diese Miarflores Schleuse. Beim rauf gehen setzen sie uns hinter den grossen Frachter und beim runter gehen davor. Im 2002 wurden 3 Yachten zusammen „gebunden�" . Manchmal hat man Glück und man befestigt sich an einem der vielen Schlepper oder Touristenbooten. Der macht die die Arbeit mit den Tauen und Du machst nichts ausser warten .
