Made it into this nice harbor at night. It was pretty rolly to sleep in the middle of this bay, i guess were getting used to it . Now we have to squeeze in between the 6 other yachts that have found a quiet spot in the East behind the harbor wall. Not easy, everybody needs a stern anchor and some have a floater on top of their anchors wich makes navigating difficult. I dont want to pick up another line in my propeller!! We will go see with the dingy first and then shoot a few yachties. There are just too many of us. We escaped the Caribbean because of the masses of yachts and now this. In 2001 i came here to Ua Pou in peak season and i was alone. Now its off season and there are SIX yachts!! The locals told me about the higher number of yachts in the last 15 years. There is just too much money around with those old geezers. Not enough young ones. I miss the young people among the sailors. Nothing wrong being old....look at me. But its just an old age club this sailing around the world business, we are crowding the bays of the world...oh well. More later on this great island. In December 2019 there will be the gigantic Pacific cultural festival here. I would love to go...but where are we all going to anchor???
