Rolf
good wind and speed .Sailed between 7and 9knots broad reaching. I was calculating if we could get to the anchorage in day time .Yes, yes, yes and then 8 miles before Tahuata the wind came on the nose and
strong.
Motoring did not bring much so we sailed in a big circle and made at at 8 pm. Some friendly sailors put up their deck lights , so we could see them in this pitch black night. OOfff made it
All this time we tried to hook up on the satfone that we just bought airtime for half a year and NOTHING. The dam thing does not connect to satellites.
Now we look at getting ashore to do weather and shoping and internet. But a huge swell of up to 4 meters covers the harbor wall where we ususaly leave the dinghy.
For a short moment its ok for ones of us to jump out maybe...while the other stays on Yelo. No way of leaving the dinghy ashore. Or surf in 3 meters with it onto the beach with rocks !!! We have never seen this so bad
Its rather rocky an roly at anchor. Life is tuff :-)

First sunny and hot, then the fog moves in and the boat gets all wet. You feel the light drizzle
