BBQ in Taravai
11 May 2020 | Gambier
not all BBQs in Taravai turn out to be exiting. It has a lot to do with how you feel and how you get along with the other guests. This time not much energy came out of me. I tried to get a conversation going but not
much came back .It must have been my boring talk, that nobody got into a frantic laughter or in a heated discussion about anything. The Corona blues has gotten to us, i guess. Or we see the same sailors over and
over and have not much new stuff to talk about.
3 hours before the BBQ Herve came on Yelo and we laughed and blabbed and almost forgot that we had to do this BBQ.
It seems that we get to know a lot of local people in Gambier that have something to share with us. The contact with the Polynesians is a lot more fun for both of us. Much better than talking about yachts and our huge
problems confined in paradise....yawn
It was another table with 3 languages going at the same time. I dont mind, i speak those , no problem . But then i have to be stoped cause i blab in French and my Austrian neighbour doesnt undesrtand it . So , i have
to stop and continue in something they all get. I often have a hard time with this. i prefer to stay in one language. I am glad they all left, i get bored with yachties fast this year. The next one i see ill tell him or her : MAKE
ME LAUGH!! Or say something interesting. Most of them just like to hear them selfs talk boring shit, and i hate people that talk more than i do hi hi hi
Thought about a German guy we met in Martinique. Every time he was on Yelo we pissed in our pants, he is so funny. No funny ones here at all this year. Oh well...am i funny???? i dunno
Glad to be out of the Corona news. My Facebook is full of conspiracy bullshit or some new guru has an new viewpoint...its too much and it gets me sleepy.
Weather is still fabulous, no wind ,i love it.
