BBQ in Gambier

18 May 2020 | Taravai, Gambier
Rolf Fischer | 24 and sunny
It was a rather pleasant crowd. Nobody talked more than i did, so my ego as an alpha male and captain know it all was never challenged. The food that the sailors contributed was good and Valerie made an excellent goat curry. Because if that there is one goat less on their land, the grass grows better and its a little quieter. We even had a violin serenade from a British girl, and plenty of volleyball with broken tows and bent fingers. Life is good, we think we are not even confined anymore, but nobody wants to leave. The temperature is perfect, but in 3 days the first maramu, a southern blow will cool us down. I think in a week or so we will be officially allowed to go to any other island. We wait and enjoy the peace.

First sunny and hot, then the fog moves in and the boat gets all wet. You feel the light drizzle
