we did it , we planted two new female Vahine-coconuts with a sprout already out. We took pictures noted their position and continued our chores to collect green stuff on the ground called pourpiere. It takes quiet a while because the leaves are so small. You wash them
and make a pesto. Instead of pine nuts we use coconut...what else!!! Then Marquesas sauge or sage and garlic plus oil and hot peppers. Into the blender and voila. The locals don't eat this stuff. I did too much garlic, so i have to do a new one soon. Its amazing what
grows on this barren land. Unfortunately the locals don't eat anything green. Apples and oranges arrived here because Germains /Germounes and Lises mom send a care package with a copra farmer that came from town. But they were disappointed. They wanted to give
me the apple. They expected Coca-Cola but only fruits arrived....bummer . Their diet is not to healthy, Only rice or pasta and tons of meat and fish with sugar and ketch up over everything.
The fish are great .Best groupers with an endless supply . Gill got five of them again yesterday in only 10 minutes. But then they were invited to eat at a neighbors house, so they couldn't keep the fish...no fridge here. So he ditched them . No problem , there is more out
