America is a Wonderland

"Is it weird to be back in the USA?" That's the number one question we've received. Yes, it's strange, it's fast (as you can see from Tom's reaction in the above photo!), it's fabulous and it's filled with fun, family and football. It's bizarre to be going in 4 different directions, having a phone, a car, high speed internet and barely able to find time to chat w/the kids and Tom on a daily basis. But, it's just a vacation for me and Tom. On the other hand, Cammi and Cole's passports will take a break, while they stay in the US, visiting family and good friends. Tom and I will return to New Zealand for a month to get Zen ready for her journey on Dockwise's Super Servant to Florida. We'll cruise New Zealand's Bay of Islands and enjoy some final reunion parties with our cruising friends before meeting Zen in Port Everglades.
After experiencing Bangkok and New Delhi, America is really like a wonderland. Tom feels all Americans should visit India to get the full meaning of freedom, personal space, and gratitude for our coveted lifestyle. It was a mind-blowing visit, giving the kids a wonderful impression of their heritage and bringing them closer to their New Delhi relatives. Christmas lasted a number of days and included too many meals. In summary, there's nothing like home, old friends, and smiling family members. We have had the most amazing year of sailing, adventure, nuclear family, discovery and joy. From the bottom of our hearts, we hope you can experience the same miracles this coming year.
