A brief moment of excitement when just before a delicious dinner on Harry's last night in the galley, both lines fizzed out the back of the boat at the same time. Everything was dropped as we all rushed to see what we had caught. Much to our dismay it was two bonito that took the lures. Not David's favourite fish, he took control and threw them back in disgust. As they were reeled in, we could see plenty more fish in the sea as they flashed in the sun deep below the boat. Still no fish on board...

We have motored all night, and through today so far, Code 0 has been packed away and working jib rigged and ready to go for this afternoon when we hope to hit the ENE winds and start heading SE for the final approach into Madeira with hopefully sporty conditions.

This morning brought the southernmost island of the Azores into view, our first sight of land since Barbuda on the first day. Plenty of boats showing up on AIS today, as expected, the Azores should be packed at the moment.
