The Hoodoos
The majority of the Needles area of the park is covered in rock formations called the Hoodoos, An overview here shows these mushroom looking structures. The needles are condensed in one dense section but the Hoodoos sprawl out to cover the rest of the Needles section of the park.
A Respite Time
So we are taking a week in New Orleans to refresh and regroup. It's hard to know what to do with all the devastation, poverty, and hardship we have witnessed. In some cases I wonder if the people will ever recover. From the hurricane damage, from the poverty, from the struggle of life. How fortunate am I to be able to leave it all when I want. It didn’t used to be this way for me but today it is. Grateful doesn’t even begin to describe the feeling of being able to choose where I go and what I want to do.
