SailBlogsVR
$4.16 / month ($50 / year):SailBlogsVR extends the capabilities of the basic premium account by allowing you to post journal entries and photos (if supported by email provider) to your journal via email, as well as including video clips in your blog. If you are going offshore, and using a satellite phone and/or data provider (Iridium, Globalstar, Ocens), or SSB email system (like SailMail), SailBlogs Remote allows you to keep your journal up to date effortlessly.
With SailBlogsVR, you have the ability to add a new dimension to your blog - sound and video. With many digital cameras having the ability to record short video as well, SailBlogs makes it a snap to add these short (up to 6MB) clips to your blog, just as you would a still photo.
If you have a photo management program like Picasa or iPhoto, you can create slideshow "movies" of your images and load them with a blog post as you would a movie clip.
For remote posting, SailBlogs has been designed to use standard text-based email for maximum efficiency and minimal airtime costs.

$7.92 / month ($95 / year):XJSail provides all the components of VR and Basic but adds the capability integrating a dynamic world map with your sailing journal.
When you post a journal entry - either through the web administration or via email with Remote - you'll have the option of including a corresponding lat/long pair. When a lat/long is added to a post, your map will automatically update to show the most current position. In addition, your map will also show a history of position points that are "hot clickable" allowing your visitors to click on the map and view the corresponding journal entry.
Position points can be added at any time with any date through the web administration, allowing you to add historical points and fill in older parts of the journal. Maps can be customized to show the name of your boat or title of your blog.
Personal Google Earth
In addition to having a map right in your blog, SailBlogs supports Google Earth, allowing you to provide a "feed" of your blog to GE users. This enables visitors to follow your progress, see your journal entries and photos, and combine with other information all right in Google Earth. There is no special configuration for you, the GE feed gets its information directly from the XPlot engine.
