Custom Template Element Reference

The following elements are available for user-loaded templates. Put in the full square bracket code for the element.

General Elements

Element Code Meaning
[%blog_title%] The title of the blog.
[%main_window%] The main blog listing window, including comments. Will also display map (if enabled), gallery (if enabled) and profile info.
[%side_col%] A composite side column made up of all enabled side bar blocks with separator lines between blocks.


Side Bar Blocks

Element Code Meaning
[%side_profile%] Profile side bar block.
[%main_links%] Home, email, gallery, and blog links side bar block; w/small icons. Will show enabled items.
[%xplot%] Current position info / icon side bar block (if XPlot is enabled).
[%link_table%] Side bar block showing list of categories & links added by user.
[%side_toc%] Side bar block showing list of recent blog entries.
[%random_image%] If gallery is enabled, will display the random image side bar block.
[%google_ad_block%] If Google Ads are enabled, will display the ads side bar block.


Misc Elements

Element Code Meaning
[%galleryLink%] Gallery link without icon.
[%emailLink%] Email link without icon.
[%homeLink%] Home link without icon.
[%header_rss_link%] Header meta tag to RSS file - allows browsers to identify the blog as RSS enabled. Should be placed in the HTML head area.
[%gallery_head%] Header info required by gallery if displaying embedded gallery. Should be placed in the HTML head area.
[%blog_desc%] Blog description text.
[%header_text%] Blog Title and Description with div tags.
[%rss_link%] Link to the RSS file for the blog (if enabled).
[%custom_footer%] Text from custom footer field.
[%url_root%] Link to site main home page (http://www.sailblogs.com)
[%site_name%] SailBlogs
