The Properties page of the Blog Manager allows a member to set and configure many of the options of their blog.

Basic Settings

Title

The title of the blog. This will appear at the top of the page if the Theme Settings have it enabled, and the title will also appear in the various member directories and in search results.

Description

Along with the Title, the description will appear (usually) at the top of the blog under the title, as well as in the various member directories and in search results.

Directory Name

Main Article: Directory name

Used in the member's URL.

Home URL

This can be configured if the blog page is not the member's main home page. It will cause a link to display on the member's blog page directing the visitor back to 'home'. This needs to be a full and complete URL.

Email Address

This is not the same as the login address. Adding an address into this field will cause a link to appear on the member's blog page allowing the visitor to send an email to the blog owners.

Note: it is not recommended to add SailMail or WinLink addresses here as this link will attract spam.

Gallery Link

A link to an external gallery (like Flickr, Picasa or SmugMug). It will cause a link to display on the member's blog page directing the visitor to the gallery. This needs to be a full and complete URL.

List On Member's Page

Check this box to have this blog listed in Recent Posts and Members by Boat Name listings.
