Anticipation

18 January 2020 | Williams Cay, Exumas, Bahamas

We are sitting nicely at Williams Cay and think today is the only day to “play” as we are anticipating some pretty strong winds again tonight into Saturday and then start to lay down on Sunday.

So with that we take our little guy to the beach. I jogged up sand down the beach while Jaxon chased me like a wild man. He was having a great time. We then climbed up to the top of the hill to see the ocean side. The water was raging a bit but we could see six sailboats heading for Georgetown. We hoped Jazzy Lady was in that group.

We went back to the boat and dropped Jaxon off and got our snorkeling gear in hopes of finding the coral reef down by Normans Pond Cay. As it turned out, we did not find it and the water was a bit too rough for me to get in anyhow.

Back to Ti Amo for lunch and then we would prepare for appy hour aboard with Grace of Longstone, UK. That was quite a treat to finally spend a few moments with Dave and Helen. They have sailed from the UK to the Bahamas, Maine, Cape Verde Islands, Canary Islands, and Portugal, to name a few. They are heading to New Zealand for Christmas so they will be getting a move on soon to meet their “Kiwi” friends in Panama and follow them to New Zealand. A lovely couple that are really enjoying the lifestyle of cruising the world. There is no place they are afraid to go it seems. Greg and I should have started a lot younger. LOL

With their departure for the night came the anticipated winds. Yes....20....30...and 40 knots. It will be a long night as this is to continue most of the day Saturday.
